Father takes law into his own hands, did he do the Islamic thing?

I second the first answer but since this question is in ramadan he should have taken the matter to a learned man in Qur'an,hadith,tauheed, and fiqh. One should exercise patient in anger because to ALLAH is our return and HE SHALL reward us according to our deeds.
