Long-term chronic pelvic pain?
One of my cousins recently shared with me the fact that he was diagnosed with prostatitis about a year ago. At that time he was staying in another country, where he was afaraid of using hospitals because of the previous incidents. Now there are two more months left until he finally comes back. Our family doctor believes that basing on his condition and symptoms, he is very likely to have now chronic pelvic pain. He is going to check up right after his return. What should I think of this? Is chronic pelvic pain really that dangerous to your health (to the point of death)? It it treatable? Will he be cured, considering the fact he's been having prostatitis for over a year already? Is there actually any cure for prostatitis? How long may the treatment procedure take? I am asking you anonymously, because I do not want any of my releatives to know that I am aware of his condition. I just want to know will he be able to recover from this disease? i really appreciate your help!
